Advanced Step-by-Step Offline License Activation & UPK Protocol

⚠️ Mandatory Prerequisite Notice

You must have an active registered account on the official ZKTeco website (https://www.zkteco.com/en/). Without logging into your account, you cannot download initial license files or perform offline activations.

1 Phase 1: Account Registration & Initial SN File Download

• Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.zkteco.com/en/, sign up, and log into your account.
• Step 2: Go to the support section: https://www.zkteco.com/en/support
• Step 3: Navigate to Free License Download: https://www.zkteco.com/en/FreeLicenseDownload
• Step 4: Open ZKBioTimeNet portal: ZKBioTimeNet Portal
• Step 5: Download 1 License from the portal. 264385-sn.xml
• Step 6: Note down the exact filename and folder location where you saved your SN file.

2 Phase 2: Software UPK File Generation

• Step 7: Open ZKBio Time.Net software on your computer.
• Step 8: Open the License menu tab in the software.
• Step 9: Fill in all mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*).
• Step 10: Click the Generate UPK button.

  👉 Click button: Generate UPK
• Step 11: Select and load your downloaded SN file: 264385-sn.xml
• Step 12: The UPK file is auto-downloaded locally with extension .xml. upk_264385.xml

3 Phase 3: Portal Offline Activation & Final Download

• Step 13: Move back to support: https://www.zkteco.com/en/support
• Step 14: Go to License Activation: https://www.zkteco.com/en/License_Activation
• Step 15: Open Offline Activation Portal: ZKBioTime Net Offline Activation
• Step 16: Upload SN file to the SN field: 264385-sn.xml

• Step 17: Upload UPK file to the UPK field: upk_264385.xml

• Step 18: Verify that File Verification is successful.
• Step 19: Click the Download button to get your final license.
• Step 20: Verify matching file naming convention:
  1. 264385-sn.xml
  2. upk_264385.xml
  3. 264385-License.xml

4 Phase 4: Final Software Activation & Permissions

• Step 21: Open ZKBio Time.Net software and go to the License tab.
• Step 22: Click Register Offline and select the license file: 264385-License.xml
• Step 23: When User Access Control (UAC) prompts, select Yes.
• Step 24: Confirm that the License is Activated and displays status OK.
• Step 25: Ensure ZKBio Time.Net software has all necessary system permissions allowed.
